Born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana, right outside of New Orleans, Tyler Nicolosi fell in love with music at just 11 years old — writing, self-recording, and even shooting his own music videos before most kids had a social media account. By age 12, he had already booked and performed his first show, setting the tone early for a career built on hustle, heart, and raw talent. Inspired by his close friends Lil Manny and the Dream Team, he quickly became a local force, gaining traction through authentic lyrics, melodic hooks, and a powerful stage presence. While balancing sports in high school, Tyler never strayed from music, releasing videos and performing live as his sound matured. Determined to make music his career, he enrolled in Full Sail University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business while continuing to develop his artistry and brand. At 18, he won first place at the Coast 2 Coast showcase in New Orleans—beating out over 30 artists and earning a trip to perform at their Miami convention. That moment sparked real momentum, leading to connections in the industry and the beginnings of a promising career. But not all breaks are good ones. After signing a mismanaged and exploitative deal, Tyler found himself silenced for years, unable to release music and stuck in legal limbo. Once free, he reignited his movement, graduating with his degree and founding his own studio and entertainment business, New Limits ENT, in his hometown. The studio thrived, becoming a creative hub for local artists—until tragedy struck. His best friend and musical brother, Lil Manny, was tragically murdered, following the earlier loss of another close friend and Dream Team member, Ryda. These devastating moments forced Tyler to step back and reevaluate everything. During the height of the pandemic, he moved to Atlanta to heal and grow, but financial reality soon pulled him back home. Knowing he had to rebuild to move forward, Tyler spent a year in the workforce, grinding to get back on his feet. That chapter wasn’t a setback — it was a necessary sacrifice to make his lifelong dream real. Now back in the studio full-time, he’s not just creating for himself — he’s carrying the legacy of Lil Manny and Ryda with every verse, every melody, and every move.
